Welcome to my website

Art for me began as a four year old in England. I will always remember the smell of wax crayons and plastercine on my first day at school. The excitement I felt to have those big sticks of colour to play with on large sheets of butcher’s paper. I loved drawing then and my memories have never faded.

Art was always my favourite subject throughout my formative years, but it wasn’t until I decided to attend Perth Technical College to study for a Diploma of Art and Design in 1990 that I became serious about a career in art.

Joining the W.A. Pastel Society in 1996 led to my preference in the pastel medium and as I am no longer a member I must acknowledge that in the ten years I was, the experience was invaluable and pivotal to my development as a professional artist.

While most of my work is executed in pastel, I also work in oils and acrylics. You will see as you navigate through this site that the common thread of the images is the use of my vibrant, colourful palette.
